Bring Me The Horizon is such a good story as a band! i love them!  They don’t get much money from their record sales and gigs. Most of their money comes from merch sales. This is why i think it is so amazing that they still tour and do all the shows they do.  They don’t have much money.  I Love BMTH!

A hero doesn’t have to be someone dressed in an amazing outfit and fight crime, they don’t have to be famous at all, and they don’t even have to know they are a hero…sometimes the best hero to someone is one that doesn’t know how much they are inspiring someone esle by what they do.  My hero is my fellow team mate and good friend Brandon Parry.  He is the nicest kid you will ever meet.  I have never met anyone who doesn’t say good things about Parry.

The kid lays his heart on the court every single play, whether he gets the ball, or not.  Whether he is on defense or offense.  He gives his all every second.  But, the real reason he is my hero is because he is not blessed with speed or height or anything that gives you an edge in basketball.  Yet, he is still on the team and in my opinion, a darn good basketball player.  He earned every second he played this year.  Things were different this year, and we had 16 guys. Everyones playing time got cut, especially his, but Parry never hung his head.  Not once.  He cherished every second he played, and he played his hardest.  He was our leader and i looked up to him.  I look up to him every day.  He is the reason I think I have a chance to play basketball next year.

So Brandon, Thank you!  Keep working your butt off!  You are the best

Umbrella Bird

One animal in a zoo i would like to see more often in the wild would have to be the umbrella bird.  They are exremely rare (only in rainforests, and the 2 of the 3 speices are threatened by habitat loss and hunters)  I would like to see more of these crazy cool looking birds in the wild because they are wierd looking.  I love to look at them because of their long and crazy wattle.  And also the crest on their head resembling an umbrella.  They are sometimes kind of pretty to look at, especially the ones with red wattles!  I love umbrella birds because i have my own special umbrella bird! ; )  She is one of my greatest friends! I love her (:

I decided to write about how much people do for earth day or any day.  You walk down the street and see people wearing go green shirts, shirts that are recycled, and jeans that are recycled. Sure its a little bit more money, but its worth it isn’t it?  To be healthier to the environment is a great reward for paying a little bit more. People celebrate earth day and its huge! Especially here in Eugene.  The fact that so many people want a healthy environment encourages me to be better to it.  I hope whoever reads this feels the same way.

This is my organic tee i got at pac sun yesterday.  I love this shirt and it adds soooo much more that it helps the environment! I can’t wait to go get more to wear!!

The many shades of green can bring out the best in a day, even a bad one.

On a walk on a sunny day, you see all the greenery in the world, and its beautiful.  It can brighten your mood, make you compliment someone, or just calm you down.

Green is the color of making our environment a better place.  It is the color of energy efficient appliances, recycling, and almost anything to do with going green!

Oh, and of course its the color of the jokers vest and hair…just look at that hair!!! Why so serious???

I listened to the Ya!cast Drwoning Anna by Susan Mayfield.  The people who did this podcast used a variety of music that fit the mood of the story at the time.  They had many different voice actors for the different characters.  It started with a background of the book told by a narrator.  Then the actors started telling part of the story with many sounds and voices in the background.   This effect added to the experience.  The narrator makes you feel for the main character, because she makes it seem really real with all the things and noises going on. She ends by telling the author and title.

1. What are your general thoughts about text messaging?

-I think that text messaging is a very social and handy way of communicating.  When you can’t call someone, but you need to tell them something texting is an easy answer to your problem.  It keeps you up to date with events wihtout having to call a whole bunch of people.

2. On average, how many text messages do you send a day? How many people do you regularly text message?

- I usually send about 300 messages a day.  The people I text on a regular basis are Alec, Marcus, J.B., and Malachi.  They are my best friends and I like to txt them.

3. Does text messaging make a difference in terms of your ability to write well? How does text messaging impact your own writing?

- I don’t think that personally it affects my ability to write well, but for many others who use a lot of slang in their texts it might.  It impacts my writing only that I can talk about texting in my writing.

4. What place, if any, does text messaging have in schools? In our language? In popular books, television advertisements, political campaigns, and movies?

- Text messaging does not have a place in most schools. Well, its not supossed to but it happens all the tme.  In our language people are starting to talk using the slang they do in their texts.  On T.V. on sports programs you can text in your vote for player of the game.  In political campaigns you can also vote through texts.

5. How is text messaging changing face-to-face and spoken communication? What impact does text messaging have on communication?

-A lot of people are speaking in the terms and slang they do in their texts.  I think it has a huge impact on communication.
